Female students from the Egyptian E-learning University took part in the Equal Opportunities Camp, in collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Institute for Leadership Development.
Prof. Hisham Abdel Salam, University’s president, praised the political leadership and government's interest in developing girls' capacities by establishing a variety of training programs to develop their skills and prepare new generations of girls capable of leadership and shouldering responsibility.
The university's president stated that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research places a high priority on the national strategy for the empowerment of Egyptian women 2030, which aims to raise the awareness level among girls and qualify them with the capabilities necessary for work and excellence in light of the new world order, by working with the Ministry's Committee for Equal Opportunities and the Leadership Development Institute to raise awareness to raise awareness on (health - social - families) for female students in institutes affiliated with colleges of technology through a series of seminars and workshops in various fields represented in raising awareness of the dangers of electronic threats and how to confront them, as well as introducing national projects undertaken by the state to support the family and society through national initiatives such as (Affection - Solidarity and Dignity - The Egyptian Family), In addition to promoting family planning and healthy eating, introducing financial inclusion and e-commerce, as well as religious awareness lectures to combat extremism, suicide, and family disintegration, and presenting successful models for influential women in the Egyptian and international communities.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Institute for Leadership Development, led by Dr. Karim Hammam, for its tremendous efforts and contributions in terms of programmes and services that develop leaders of tomorrow for Egypt and the world through its various activities throughout the academic year as well as during the summer vacation, recognising the institute's contribution to the development of human personalities in general and students in particular, by discovering and refining talents.
In a related context, the university president stated that university students participated in the attendance and active participation in the activities of the camp, which were represented in lectures on nutrition and reproductive health, directed media and its role in influencing national security, the National Council for Women "issues and confrontations", the art of leadership, divorce is a societal issue, the speech Religious and fighting extremist ideas.
He emphasised the excellence of the university students' performance in the student activities competitions held during the camp activities, where the student, Dalia Masoud, won "first place" in the ideal student competition in the fourth year, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Assiut Study Center.
