The Egyptian E-Learning University: We have majors required by the labor market

According to Prof. Hisham Abdel Salam, President of the Egyptian E-Learning University, the university was founded in 2008 and in 2018, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a decision to convert it into a national university, so that it could serve as a nucleus for this new type of education and learning and serve as a model for others to follow.

 

Outstanding educational system

"Abdul Salam" added, during an intervention via Zoom on "ElYoum" program, presented by “Dina Esmat” and broadcast on "DMC" channel, that the university follows a distinct educational system after completing the high school stage, which is based on face-to-face attendance at study centers, virtual classes and distance learning via video communication system with the third component relying on the provision of educational resources and resources via a sophisticated electronic platform.

A new way to learn and gain experience

He continued, "Students benefit from the combination of the three modes of learning as it is a new way to learn and gain experience, it combines education with practical needs. The university has eight colleges, but only three have been activated so far, and we are on our way to adding a fourth this year ".

Computer and information specialization

He explained that the university's Faculties (Computers & Information Technology and Business Administration) have specializations that are required by the labor market and these jobs rely heavily on the use of computers in the educational process which will benefits him in his line of work."

"We have added two required majors in the Faculty of Computers & Information technology, namely artificial intelligence and data science," he added, "and in business administration, there are well-known majors such as business administration, accounting, marketing, and finance, as well as one new major, supply chain management."
