image 11Under the patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the Egyptian E-Learning University participates in the week of African Universities Celebrations, which is held from 11 to 15 November 2019.

Prof. Mohamed Khairy, President of the Egyptian E-Learning University, stated the importance of the university’s participation in such an important annual event where the issue of security and peace is a major responsibility for all that requires attention from all concerned parties, explaining that good education at all levels is the greatest tool that can be used to transfer knowledge and behaviors Positively.

He added that the main purpose of the event is to achieve security and peace through using the education as a tool in setting policies and plans for conflict resolution. This approach requires a proactive from higher education institutions to conduct a review of its educational system and discuss aspects of development to ensure that they embed the principles of security and peace, affirming that the Egyptian E-Learning University is the first electronic-based Egyptian university in which its educational system depends on the latest electronic educational methodologies achieving the highest levels of success and always seeks to pursue advanced methods to keep pace with technological development globally by graduating batches to keep pace with this rapid technological development and thus can better serve their communities.
In a related context, Prof. Dr. Hisham Mohamed Abdel Salam, Vice President of the University for Development and Innovation, explained that the participation of the Egyptian E-learning University goes with the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4), which calls for the provision of a fair and high-quality education for all in order to assess cultural diversity, that’s what The Egyptian National E-Learning University seeks to since its establishment in 2008 by presenting an integrated, distinctive and unique electronic learning model, and explained the necessity of the university’s participation in promoting for a peace and non-violent culture, and regarding the continental education strategy for Africa (CESA 2016-2025), which highlights the need to integrate peace in education at all levels.
