| The National Egyptian E-learning University (EELU) cooperates with Alexandria University, Mansoura University, the Ministry of Higher Education, the regional office of the Agency of Francophone Universities in the Middle East and a group of Lebanese and European universities in the project of Distant Learning and Pedagogical innovation (ADIP). The ADIP project aims to establish and implement and build up a framework for the development of educational and pedagogical competencies of faculty staff at the university, especially in the field of distance learning using the methods and tools of e-learning. This yields to develop and improve an innovative model for the transformation of the traditional curriculum to match the distance learning system. Also, the project will enable the EELU to upgrade its Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC), through which the EELU provides the educational and electronic services to its students, with new equipment and programs. The project teams will gain experiences from applying the developed educational and pedagogical model for distance learning and then, evaluate the effectiveness of the educational process and its impact on students and faculty staff. In the final stage of the project, organizational practices, rules, and procedures will be established in the participating universities to recognize a quality system for open and distance learning. These activities will be implemented in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and the Supreme Council of Universities to support the open and distance learning system as the main tributary of higher education in Egypt. | |
