Prof. Hisham Abdel Salam, President of the National Egyptian E-Learning University, announced that the students Mahmoud Essam Mahmoud, Yasmine Mohamed Zeinhom, Batoul Medhat Ali and Heidi Mohamed Abu Al-Safa won the bronze medal, while Alaa Youssef Mansour won a silver medal in the student qualifiers at the competition republic level held by the “International Huawei Telecom Company” at the end of the 1st semester of the current year (2021-2022).
The university president added that this competition aims to nurture and empower the future generation of local talents in the information and communications technology field to contribute in achieving digital transformation plans and developing strategies that rely on information technology.
He pointed out that the university follows a policy of motivating its students to participate in various forums, whether "local or international"; To develop creative thinking skills, cultivate a spirit of innovation, follow up on every scientific development, and move towards expanding self-learning methods instead of being satisfied with traditional indoctrination methods in education and working on their integration with advanced technology.
Abdel Salam explained that Egyptian universities are keen to participate in such competitions, as dozens of male and female students participated in the competition from all Egyptian universities, "governmental, national and private", because "Huawei" is one of the leading companies in the field of communications devices and networks worldwide , especially the 5th generation networks, which provides everything new in the world of digital communications, and the cooperation with them benefits both university students and graduates.
He pointed out that the journey of "Huawei" competition began with university students last November, before the end of the 1st semester, and began with a placement test and university students excelled in the competition; To be among those who were eliminated from the universities and academies that participated and qualified their students to enter the competition; To compete at the state level, they won 4 bronze medals and a silver one.
