Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on Monday April 23, 2019, heads a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian E-Learning University, in the presence of Eng. Alaa Fahmy, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, former Minister of Transportation and Dr. Yasser El-Dakroury, the temporary President of the University, at the Ministry’s headquarters. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the new members of the Council, appreciating the efforts made to raise the scientific level of the university and work to develop the study system in it to graduate scientific individuals at a high level. During the meeting, Abdul Ghaffar stressed the importance of E-learning as a means of acquiring the scientific and technological skills sought by students and that are in line with the requirements of the labor market, and the Minister also indicated the ability of E-learning to include the increasing numbers of those who wants to complete their academic studies and relieve pressure on traditional universities. The minister explained the tendency of many countries in the world to distance education and the use of smart technological techniques in providing the opportunity for many who want to transform their educational path by enrolling in E-learning programs due to the requirements of the labor market, stressing Egypt's ability to keep pace with this through the development of the university The Egyptian Minister of E-learning, and the development of its study systems, also called for the importance of effective marketing for the university and attracting more students, as it is an important alternative to open education system that existed in Egypt and aims to provide those wishing to change the course of their studies with scientific skills to face the challenges of the times. The Minister praised the role played by Dr. Yasser Al-Dakroury, a member of the Board of Trustees, during his tenure as the acting president of the university and overcoming the difficulties that faced the university since its inception and its transformation from a private university to a national university, calling for the need to seek the assistance of Dr. Al-Dakroury in the next phase, and the minister honored the president of the university by presenting the ministry’s shield, appreciating his role in developing the university. During the meeting, Dr. Yasser Dakroury gave a presentation on the stages of the university's work since its inception. |
